Getting Involved

You can involve yourself in the life of Panama Baptist Church at any level you choose. Some people just attend our worship services on Sunday morning. We're glad for each one that comes, but of course our desire is that every individual continue to grow in his or her relationship with God and each other. If you're ready to embark on the exciting adventure called the Christian Life, then learn how we can help you in your journey by reading the short sections below.

Step 1: Get Going and Bring the Kids

Have you learned enough to want to get involved? Great! Just put us on your calendar for this coming Sunday morning. Remember, the worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. Even better, arrive at 9:30 a.m. and get to know some of our people through an Adult Fellowship group. In fact, bring the whole family and give your kids an opportunity to learn and grow together with one of our Sunday School classes. We staff nursery and toddler ministries throughout the morning, too.

Most people find that as they worship at PBC over a number of weeks and months, God begins to direct them toward some type of service opportunity. Perhaps you'll want to become involved with a children's Sunday School class, Kidz Church, or any number of equally important and specialized ministries in the church. When you do, you automatically become part of one of our Ministry Teams. Our goal is to match up your interests and gifts with the many important ministries at PBC.

Step 2: Join an Adult Fellowship

Beyond participation in worship and ministry, we do want to encourage you to join an Adult Fellowship. That's the place where you can share individual prayer needs and study the Bible together. You'll make friends quickly as you meet on a weekly basis. Joining an Adult Fellowship is the best way to gain a sense of belonging at Panama Baptist Church. Again, our Fellowships meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., just ahead of the worship service. Come for the fellowship and stay for the worship!

Step 3: Become a Group Leader

You will find that, as you participate in an Adult Fellowship and the Sunday worship services, you will begin to grow in your relationships with other people and with God. When you're ready to take the next step, we want to help you develop as a leader. That's right! Let's face it, all of us are leaders at some time or place in our lives. If you are a parent, you're a leader in your home. You may have a leadership role at your place of work. We want to give you the opportunity to fully develop your potential as a leader in the church so that you can begin leading others on their journey of faith. One way we do that is to train you toward becoming a group leader. We want to develop you to your maximum potential as you assist with the personal development of others.
